Mine was a LDR (15000 miles apart) and we just got married last year. Many LDR fail due to lack of committment, sacrifices, efforts and trust. Without these, no relationship can work either. Though it is harder for a LDR, it is possible to be a success if both parties agree to work it out.

In your case, i am a bit septical on how it is going to work when you dont have phone and internet. Are you willing to contact thru mails and is it possible to meet like once a month? You will know the answer better than us.

Understand that what defines any relationship is the shared purpose. Weather its simply trying to love each other, to the more complex helping each other to self-acualize (lets not go into that.... wow lets not go into that) having a shared purpose will surmount any obsticale the relationship might fall into. But as a general rule because most people don't know themselves better yet another individual long distant relationship RARLY ever work out, the funny thing thou, is that MOST relationships RARLY work out, so no one can say anything about your INDIVIDUAL relationship. So let the love flow, be honest, be open, be true, and understand: Love isn't everything to a relationship, apply that love into compassion, passion, and understanding, that makes a relationship!
