IF a woman had an std, and didn't know can they still get pregnant or does the std cause them to not be able to?

also if the bacteria blocked the woman's tubes...would that mean she wouldn't have a menstrual flow able to come out ?

well i never said I was trying to get pregnant...i'm not even sexually active i was just wondering

yes you can still get pregnant, just make sure you get that taking care of before you try to conceive,you can pass the std to the child.

An STD can sometimes, but not always, cause infertility. Some STD's block the tubes that lead from the ovaries to the uterus, so eggs can't get fertilized. This can sometimes be cleared up, but it's better to avoid the STD in the first place.

ok first off you do not menstruate from your tubes it comes from your uterus secondly there are some stds they will cause infections and damage the woman's reproductive system and cause her to either not be able to get pregnant or have and ectopic pregnancy. but in most cases it will not but it could make the baby sick. bottom line go and get tested for stds BEFORE you get pregnant. this is an odd question and i really think you need to do a bit more research on female anatomy before you try to get pregnant.

depends on the STD. Some you can get pregnant with still it is just dangerous for baby and some cause infertility especially if left untreated.

Most women can still get pregnant and will more than likely pass it on to their unborn baby. They should seek medical attention immediately so they can began treatments that will help protect the baby.

Be sure to tell your OB/GYN though. There are precautions with some STDs that need to be taken.
