There is this guy who comes in to my work that I like a lot and who obviously likes me. It took me forever to ask his name because I was in a relationship before and did not want to act on anything. Now that I am single again, I want to ask this guy out (he is kinda shy, but has opened up ALOT since I started making small talk with him. However, most of the time I try to talk to him, my tongue gets tied and I end up saying something really silly (for ex: he has one button undone on his shirt and his tie tucked in it. I say, "hey, your shirt is eating your tie" and laugh (wtf! why do i say this?!). fortunately he laughs too, and explains that he does not want to get it messy at work (he works in a funeral home)). I really like him a lot and he really seems to understand my warped sense of humor. What should I say to him (to ask him out) without sticking my foot in my mouth again?

I feel like I really connect with him because I feel like I can be myself around him (when I don't go saying something silly) and he understands that about me.

well you said it there you feel like you can be your self around him right... just tell him that you like him and he make you just a little loopy when you talk and if he's a good guy and is really feeling you he would understand and take you up on your offer... hope every thing works out....

Sounds like you really have a crush on this guy. Lucky HIM! :) I think the only "advice" anyone can give you in this situation- is for you to try to "relax"- & not open your mouth so "wide" (in other words, listen MORE- & try not to act so witty). Asking him out on a Date- should solve all your problems anyway. Go for it- & good luck! :)

Breathe Tiesto....laughing. This guy really likes you but he is unsure of himself. ASK him ok....just ask him out for ice cream..a cup of coffee..dinner...lunch...whatever. I bet he says yes...just a hunch....smiling.
