how can i make myself look older???i know this is not a tattoo question?

Everyone under general is making me fell like sh*t and they really dont get my style to much ...i figured someone over here can help me out more... im 19 and get told i look 14 to 16 all the time.. i dont want to look under agei want to look at least 18 to 20

i am into punk rock(the cuasulties, the unseen, dropkick murphys etc) i usually wear.. tight jeans.. long tank top, with a t shirt over it .. im 5'2 and weight 112lbs

thank you to those who are helpping me.. i do like the way i look and most of you are bringing out more confidence in me.. i get put down very easy at times.. but ill have to think of the things most of you said alot more.. i love my hair.. i like being different.. i plain on getting more tattoos i only have one at the moment.. but if i have a visible one this will most likly show people that im at least 18(i have a bunch of tattoos im plaining on getting just to broke at the moment)

Well....as much as I hate to say it....half of how old anyone looks is how they dress and present themselves. You're into punk rock which is great but I know a lot of 30 year old punks that look 18.

I'm not telling you to change, because I wouldn't. Screw what other people think. You have an I.D., use it!

Confidence plays a huge part in how old (mature) a person looks. I used to really confuse people cause I looked young but acted older or wiser than they expected.

I think you're very cute in the first photo and look around 19. Part of your problem may be make up if you wear as much as you have on in the second photo. It makes you look much younger.

Also, a more natural hair color might help, but I realize that's not as fun.

Lastly, 5'2" is not exactly tall and I would guess this is why you are told you look so young.

You are beautiful! Enjoy your youth and your lovely skin. You'll wish you had it back before you know it.

As far as what other people think, you need to find yourself within your self and you'll realize it is what you know and not what they think that really matters.

I think the hair color makes you look younger, you should try black or light brown, like caramel, those color might make you look older, and try to use a lot of liner and some brush and high heels... u got a baby face(like me) and thats not really a bad thing..... when we get old were gonna look young YEAH! all i do is use tight pants or short skirts and some nice tops and get a lot of liner and brush.... now a day people think im 17 and sometimes 19 lol (im 18)-- without liner and with t-shirts people think im 14 :'(

well, you're probably not going tolike to hear this, but...maybe you should dye your hair back to its orignal color-i mean, it makes you look like a kid who's gonna hang out at the 7/11 on a saturday night (read: what a 14-year-old would do).

You're very pretty, though. But the electric hair makes you look, well, young .

hmm...wear high heels and classy clothes and wear less makeup so that it doesn't look like you're tryng too hard. I think it's the heavy eye makeup and the hair that make you look like a young teen.

grow up your look a little (that doesn't mean you ahve to entirely abandon your style, just try to modify it so it's still punk, but "Grown Up Punk," not sure how to do that, but just try out some different things etc.)

Ok, here's the bad news... i used to be into cool haircuts and trendy looks (i.e. me on the left at my myspace page http://www.myspace.com/0100101001cm) but i was told i looked too young. Unfortunately I cut my hair and quickly found out that people think you look young if you have a young trendy look. Age is almost defined by what you wear and how your hair looks now than what your features look like. Seriously, I had long black hair with blond streaks and everyone equated that with young emo kids even though that wasnt the look i was going for and im 23. But since I looked like an emo kid and most emo kids are 17 or whatever then of course i must be that young. But when i shaved my head i suddenly became "a man" to most people.. weird how that works huh?

LAy off the heavy eye makeup and grow your hair to your shoulders. But let me tell you honey, in about 5 years when all your friends are thought to be 30, you'll be the one they envy. My fiance is 30 and i'm 26. Everyone thinks he's my age or younger. And my poor sister is 3 years younger than me and gets so mad that people think i'm the little sister. By the way, she wears a lot more makeup than me and has short hair. I know you think it sucks now, but patience grasshopper.....

Someone is looking good ;p Anyways about looking older, my only suggestion would be heels as you aren't very tall. People might think your younger because of your height.

beleive me the older look will be upon you before you know it! Embrace the young look. I used to have that look and hated it. I wish I had that back right now. I am 39 with a 16 month old son and I get asked how old my grandson is!!!!!!!!! i do not look old either. People are just that stupid.

Embrace looking young. You will appreciate it when you are 35 and someone thinks you're in your late 20s.
