I really want them to think I am responsible enough to have another pet. Also I want my dad to stop yelling at me whenever there is a mess in our house.

Start cleaning without them telling you to do so. This will not only let them know you're responsible, it will also make them very happy and more likely to get you what you want sooner. Have fun and happy cleaning!

They will think you are responsible when you are responsible. Your dad has a point, you should be taking care of that mess before he ever notices it.

Yeah, clean the house and do some extra chores. also be extra nice to them and try harder in school by getting good grades.
