But seriously they're most likely just trying to protect themselves.
A priest molests a child in let's say the US, the Pope alienates himself with them, both religiously and fiscally.
The Church giving money to them would be like an admission of guilt.The Church has the never admit approach.

why didn't the Catholic church in Rome help when new Orleans needed help.

Or help in the 911 aftermath,
or help fund the united nations or green peace,
If the catholic church in Rome is this loaded could they not help countries lower their debts?
And fund countries to feed the hungry.

pay by fixing the taxes,
Catholic church must own millions of property. considering its rich history.

Many people mistakenly believe that the Vatican is just loaded with money. The contrary is actually true. In fact, St. Peter's Episcopal Cathedral in New York is worth more then the entire Vatican estate!

protestant churches should pay for help because they raped some children in some churches in USA.. soo the catholic church is not the only church with problems as well protestant churches.. let me tell you the member of the churches are not perfect
