It simply is. There is nothing personal about it.

I prefer the philosophy of Marcus from the Babylon 5 television series:

It is better that life is unfair. If life were, in fact, fair, then that would mean that every bad thing happened because you deserved it.

But we must make our own destinies out there. Everyone has some unfairness surrounding them. What you do with it is what really defines a character.

Life is full of trouble, and there are days of heartache. That's a fact. Life is painful. For some people it seems as if each day is like being in a torture chamber -- it is agonizing. If we dwell on the injustices of life, it will eventually lead us to bitterness. One of the reasons many of us struggle with the question of "Why is life so unfair?" is because we do not understand that this earth is not the land of the living; it is the land of the dying. All around us there is disease, death, and sadness. The Bible teaches us that we live on a planet that is suffering from the after-effects of sin. When you understand this, it changes your perspective about life, and things begin to make sense. You realize that this life is simply the proving ground that is preparing you for life in eternity.

Yes, life is short and unfair, yet the Bible tells us that God loves us and wants to share His love with us for all of eternity. The Bible puts it this way, "But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions -- it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 2:4-7). If you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, then what you have in this life is not what you get. God has a wonderful plan to make all the injustices you have experienced in this life right. In God's eternal kingdom there will be no more suffering and pain. You will experience life the way God really intended it to be. The Bible records these words about the end of all suffering, "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away" (Revelation 21:4). Life is brief and painful, but eternity in Heaven never ends, and there are no bad experiences there.

Life is unfair so that we can exercise that part of us that longs for justice, and try to right the wrongs in this world. In the struggle to obtain "a fair go" and justice for all, we develop divine character attributes, such as imagination, courage, compassion, and integrity.

We love ourselves all the more for having loved other people against difficult odds.

Because the universe did not come about with humanity in mind, despite what many preachers and witch doctors will have you believe. It is indifferent to us and to our suffering. It owes you nothing. It doesn't owe anyone anything. The best we can do is try to come together and make things as best as we can make them, and not deny this fact.

Besides, if all was Utopia... would pleasure still be so sweet than when it is rare?

I don't think it really is.

I think sometimes unfair things happen to us....but generally it's because of the choices we make.

Life is unfair.
It is unfair to everyone.
This is fair.

So you might as well be happy in spite of it all.

Its salt or sugar,, you have to taste salt to get sweetness of the sugar... that is about the simplest way I can tell you
the greatest trick devil played is that he made us all think he don't exist....

here is some details for you to realize how unfair we are to each other and how God dont' do these things to us we do them to ourselves...salam peace
You hurt not me
You hurt not them
You only hurt yourself in trasgression for your actions

Allah says I don't overburden you with more than you can handle and I am ever mercyful upon you....
we only overburden ourselves and allow ourselves to be treated as such.... If a man is yelling down the street, do I hear him.... surely I can choose to not listen to him at all...
They make that choice the same way they make the choice to leave the submission of Allah... Salam

Allah is all good he never does anything to harm us other than what we do for our ownself... Salam
If he made it all easy, then what is the point! Its called a blessing and reward... if you didn't do anything why should you be blessed.. Cause Allah SWT said he will give those that are not with him more than those who are with him in this world.. and those who are with him will have infinate blessings and mercy for eternity... I rather have nothing here and everything there...anytime!

One eyelash in heaven is greater than everything we can see and imagine here ONE EYE LASH!
And the lord says.... good riddance for those who don't believe. If he says good riddance what are we going to do.. huh? lol
Those who are guided will remain in the guidance for ever and ever for eternity.. and those who have allowed themselves to be led astray have never been guided by anything on the face of this earth... Amin.

What comes up, must come down... they will be dealt with in accordance to what they do... and he will inform them of all things, and everything they ever said and did, will be revealed and thier own skin will remove itself and speak against or for them.. Salam and that day, they will have to do exactly what he says and nothing else.. that day is the day we all wait for, those who believe, Christiians, Jews and Muslims alike even those that say they are Atheist they may have a mustard seed of faith in their heart and they don't even know it.. they will be saved... the only ones that will not be saved are those who make partners with Allah... for that is the greatest sin any soul can commit against itself.... The lord is Just.. you have been given a choice.. and you choose it.. don't cry to us about it... surely the lord said its forbidden for you to complain after you have been given the proof for your very eyes to see and reject the faith is like rejecting yourself..he cares not what you do.. but he wishes for you to be with him.. that is why your born to worship him and him alone...1.5hrs for him 22.5hrs for yourself.... I think that is more than a fair deal....don't you!

I ask that question a lot.
And I honestly think that it's so we learn, or it's someone else's time to feel like life is good.

Are you generalising about your life.
Because you are not talking about mine.
Life is fair
If yours isn't, then you don't see fairness.
We reap what we sow.
This is karma.
There is consequence
There is love
