FAKE!! This punk has been PROVEN to be a fraud and a liar. I don't think he even made it through boot camp.

On the Military.com website, to which anyone can contribute, a profile of MacBeth claimed he had three basic combat jumps, service in Afghanistan as well as Iraq, and several awards including a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

There's just one problem: According to Department of the Army spokesman Paul Boyce, there is no record of "Jessie MacBeth," a.k.a. Jesse Adam MacBeth, having served in either the Rangers or the Special Forces -- or in any part of the Army at all. Boyce told me Tuesday that a check on MacBeth's credentials came up empty. "At a minimum, this appears to have been concocted" and "some sort of hoax," Boyce said. Special Operations Command and the State Department have been alerted.

MacBeth's story started to crumble after my colleagues at the Hot Air blog (www.hotair.com) called attention to the Peace Films video interview and asked military bloggers about MacBeth's appearance and claims. Harnessing the specialized knowledge of the blogosphere, military bloggers debunked a photo purportedly showing MacBeth in his official uniform (with his beret backward, incorrect flashes and tabs, and missing wings).

The Army's Boyce told me the uniform issues were a major "red flag" -- as were MacBeth's incredible claims to have entered the Army at 16, served as both a Ranger and in Special Ops, sustained various stabbing and shooting wounds, and exited at age 20. Not to mention all those unsubstantiated, slanderous smears against the Army Rangers (who suffered similar attacks by another lying anti-war veteran poseur, Micah Wright, in 2004).

This is only ONE example from a quick goog search of "Jessis MacBeth" STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING THE MEDIA TELLS YOU!! Even the Iraq War Veterans For Change dropped this punk. And I dare you to give me a thumbs down for posting the TRUTH about this SCUMBAG!

Barb-Instead of defending this scumbag, try a little research. I had heard this story before, but it took about 2 min to google his name and find out the truth. Why are you people so ready to believe every bad thing you hear about our military? Are you just too lazy to do a little digging and find out the truth? I swear, I'm gonna post a question that says if everybody sends me a $100 I'll have our troops home by X-Mas. Everybody is so eager to believe everything they read and not verify ANYTHING, no matter how RIDICULOUS it sounds, I'll be able to retire. WAKE UP PEOPLE!

The Official DD214 of Jesse MacBeth

Through the efforts of various folks on the Internet, the official DD214 of infamous Chairborne Ranger Jesse MacBeth has come to light. No "additions" via Microsoft products, no crayon scribblings, no bushwa. His Social Security Number has been blanked out, as has the name and address of his nearest living relative. The rest of the information is true and correct, to the best of my knowledge.

As a translating service for those who may be somewhat less than fluent in military speak, kindly accept my services:
Box 4a and b: The highest rank and paygrade achieved is Private, E1. This is entry level, indeed, it is the lowest rank/paygrade possible.

Box 8a: Last Duty Assignment. Basic Combat Training Brigade, Delta Company, Second Battalion, 47th Infantry. This means his last and final duty station was Basic Bloody Training.

Box 11: Primary Specialty. None. Zip. Zero. Nada. He has never been trained to do a single sodding thing in the U.S. Army.

Box 12: Record of Service. He swore in on the first of May, 2003. He was discharged on the 13th of June, 2003. One month and thirteen days --TOTAL -- of service in the U.S. military.

I think that pretty much says all that needs to be said on the matter.

This link is to the site where I got the above info:

He doesn't look the Military type. Military Personnel carry them self better, use better language, explain things more thoroughly, and are more well thought. Also his uniform doesn't seem to be up to Military Standards in the video. I think its a cheap shot, or a fake.

Outdated Camouflage for Special Operations Forces, and his problem talking (Studdering) would be considered a disqualifying factor for Special Ops.

Military also teaches a range and distance class, though it is short, they teach you to speak in distances such as feet, meters, yards; not "From me to you, huh, huh" and there is no way a Special Ops counts the death's of his enemies by his own hands. Do you think that a number is on his mind when in a life/death situation?

If a Statement like this was made by a Real Army Ranger, there would have been more controversy, and coverage.

Also, isn't against Army Regulars to wear white undershirts? I always thought it was Green undershirts for Army, and Tan for Marines.

The video has been edited many times too. You can tell by the way the video jump/skips.

He seems nervous too, as if telling a lie. Maybe hes a f-f-f-f-f-f-full of Sh!t.

I hope this guy serves jail time, opps, he already has. Yep he I believe he was in jail and that he told his family he was in Iraq. There are several reasons that prove he's lying:

-his uniform in the photo is NOT in regs.
-we don't send people to Osan to "pick up" more troops.
-we aren't "debriefed" BEFORE a mission.

These are just a few, I'm sure others can find more things wrong. I also don't believe this kind of crap would be going on with out more people speaking up. We're military and have never heard anything like this, and trust me people talk, this kid may have done this with his gang in his own neighborhood, but not as an Army Ranger in Iraq!

And to the one who says "he's not in the military now, his uniform blah blah blah." We're talking about his uniform in the picture. It looks like crap. And besides the only ones who fold their sleeves like that are the marines and navy. You'd NEVER see an Army person wearing their sleeves like that. If they have them rolled up they do so so that the button is on the outside of the sleep, AND it's nice and neat. Plus, NOONE would roll their sleeves for a miltary picture.

Never base you opinion on a single source. Do I believe things like this happen? Probably. Do I believe they are common? Hell no! This was a corrupt unit, and he is just as wrong for not reporting them.

By the way Barb, where did you receive your Psychology education, because stuttering is not a symptom of PTSD.

I can't believe it either. Given the level of stammering and stuttering by the "Army Ranger" on the tape, I'm wondering how this guy made it into the Army. Stuttering to that degree is considered a physical manifestation of a psychological disorder and is disqualifying for entry. Sorry, but considering he is wearing Sherwood Forest Green Cammies and every one of the Rangers I've run into over the last two years is wearing "chocolate chip" brown or the new pattern of cammies, I'd want to check this guy's DD-214 and the rest of his nomenclature before swallowing his tale.

I believe his story came out already and it was found out that he NEVER served in Iraq or even made it past boot camp. He was called a phony, and was lieing for attention. Again he NEVER served in our military, never served in Iraq

What did you think was going on? How do you think over 600,000 Iraqis got DEAD.....

Did you REALLY think that Bush went over there to "liberate" anyone?

How can people be so naive. WHY do you think so many Americans want our troops OUT OF THERE.

It's not only our soldiers, the insurgents, the Sunni's and Shi'ia, the Bahts, they are ALL killing civilians - each of them in the name of god but with their own self-interest in mind.

Bush wants the oilfields....and he will do ANYTHING to get them. The Sunni's want all the Shi'ia gone or dead; the Shi'ia want all the Sunni's gone or dead; the Baht party wants control of the country to be returned to them.

Why do you think the inept government of Iraq can't make any headway? Because they were voted in by the Shi'ia majority and most are Shi'ia - they ALL want the Sunnii's to go away.

If you keep up with the real news and stop listening to the boobs around you (who know less that you do), this YouTube video would not be such a surprise.

The same thing happened in Vietnam....women, children, old people - it didn't make any difference. The purpose was to make them all dead.

This is our President...... Makes one ashamed to be an American.

Later.....

To those who doubt the authenticity of the video because of the appearance.....

Stuttering. That is NOT a physical defect. And, he could have PTSD.

Uniform.....he is NOT in the military and can wear what he wants. And, chocolate brown is not the only color the Rangers wear.

And, as far as his dressing casually, he is NOT in the military anymore.

Some people simply won't believe what is in front of their eyes. That's how the German citizens dealt with the Holocaust...they denied it.

Is this a surprise from a president that o.k.ed torture. At least things will get better when the Democrats get back in the white house.
Take heart that we are a nation that will review this and make a fair and serious consideration as to the moral turpitude and if it accomplishes our mission.
