not at all.

I don't claim to understand the nature of God in all aspects, but I do claim to be part of the only Order that would reveal such a thing, if it was ever to be revealed. And isn't that what is really what we need? The proper channel for establishing truth?

I mean, it's nice to see so many people so confident in their Bibles, but any reasonable fellow can see through that mentality. The Bible itself declares to not have everything in it, pertaining to the Gospel. (John 21:25) And yet the superstitious rubber necks insist it does, "because I say so. So nyah!"

What good is that kind of mentality? Might as well piss in the wind. Indeed, knowing where you can find the answers is the great empowering security to a man's religion. Pretending has an end, too! So of all the great importance floating around, I think finding the right source is pretty damn important. Anybody can say they know God, but until they show you their source, it doesn't mean jack!

I think my understanding of the True Nature of God is superior to that of those in ANY religion.

Well I believe that my religion is the only true one...that's why I'm in this religion. If you didn't think that your religion was right or that it wasn't more correct than another, then why are you in that religion? I don't necessarily think that it's more superior, but I would never go to another one. Am I making any sense? To me it just seems natural that I believe my religion to be true more than I believe in another one.

No. God's nature is a mystery to me in so many ways. Sometimes, when you go farther and deeper, it can get scary because it is SO strict. There's GOT to be a "Back Off Now" button somewhere! His ways are a complete mystery to me, and I like to share what I know and corroborate with other Christians (most times they are RIGHT ON!) and other people of different faiths, (and those TOO!) So corroboration rather than "He's MY God, so Back Off!" attitude is WAY better in finding out more about Him. You see, I'm very thirsty to find out more, and I pick up all kinds of things that way. You become a better listener that way (I could use that reminder, for sure!)

So to recap, what I mean is that through humility, I become a better Christian. When I listen to my own crowing, sometimes it can be one of those fulfillment prophecies: "Pride cometh before a great fall." et al.

edit: the more I find out about God, the closer I feel to everyone in the entire world.

I think there are many who know my God or other gods and goddesses better than I understand my own.

I blame faulty teachings during my younger years. Now I have to catch up.

Well to be able to answer this question, I'd have to be able to understand every other religion in the world.

Yes and no.

Yes, in that my understanding is based on my own experiences, and therefore will always be subjectively true. No one can take that away from me.

No, in that my understanding is based on my own experiences, it is limited, and can never be said to be complete. I learn more from listening to other people's perspectives than from trying to "prove" the objective truth of my own perspective.

Peace to you.
