it does build abs but no ab workout burns fat so all they do is make your belly look bigger since there is more muscle underneath the layer of fat.
to have nice abs you have to lower your body fat percentage and the only exercise that will do that is cardio 4- 6 times a week for average of 45min.
most of people have six packs but only few have them visible for everybody to see (very low body fat percentage), lol

yes i have one and it is also good if you have a sore back i'll get in it and stretch back for a few minutes and my back feels much better
