I know this is crazy. my wife was into auto racing and after she died last year I thought about the possibility of starting a race team, similar to what Joe Gibbs has done. But I obviously don't have money like that. (I'm still on disability). I've talked it over with several people and they all tried to discourage me due to all the money involved. I don't know. But if you can put together a good team, a good car, a good crew, a good driver, then you can get the money and you can win. I don't see any reason why I couldn't do the same.
Don't ask me why i keep thinking about this. It makes no sense to me. I never gave it a thought until after she died.
If any of you are already doing this - how did you get started? Everyone pretty much has told me there's no faster way to spend money. So? Who cares? oh well, it's just money. What's money anyway. If you want to race you find a way. Right?

I may contact some people who are already doing this and see how they got started. But everyone doing this already had loads of cash. Like Joe Gibbs, he wasn't exactly poor.

MOney is the Key without it not much chance I would guess. That is why teams sell off to others now and they they jsut cant handle it all the time.

Thats really great that you want to start up a new team, I think it takes tons and tons of money to even get your foot in the door, but all the guys doing it now had to start somewhere.
Wish I could tell you the first thing to do, but I have no clue.

If you had connections to any of the teams, maybe they could give you advise. I'm sure there's someone somewhere who could help you out on what to do.

If you do try it, I wish you luck!

My kids race Quarter Midgets & it costs a small fortune! You just gotta get as many people & companies to sponsor you.

If you are serious, maybe you could help out a team that is already somewhat established, or just starting out. Maybe once you get to know "the business" you'll have aan idea how to go about it on your own.

they might desire to become in contact with a modern-day race group. there are a lot of human beings around like me that race and are searching for group contributors. reckoning on the place you're placed i might have the means to place you in touch with somebody. as quickly as they have connections they are going to discover it much less difficult to chase the dream.

I don't know what to tell you, other than work your @$$ off. That's what I did, and got it all taken away. Now I just crew for my dad's team.
