Here it is. I had a hysterectomy about 5 years ago and was on Premarin. I had been a smoker for 30 years. I no longer take hormones, I quit smoking in December of 2006. I have gained about 50 lbs. I have for about 2 months changed my diet, I eat 5 small meals of between 250 and 300 calories, low carbs, high protien. I do not drink soda, just water and fat free milk. I have been walking about 3 miles 3x a week and walk about a mile the other days with my dogs. I try to do more exercising but after I walk, my ankles hurt so bad that I can barely walk after a rest. I have changed shoes also to see if that helps. What am I doing wrong so that I can lose the weight? I know less weight would help my ankles. I take a good multi vitamin, Chromium Picolinate and glucosamine chondroitin MSM. Can anyone give me some advice??
I have not lost a single pound. I seem to be gaining.

First, for me 1200 calories a day did the trick. Second, I bought a bike. The walking can be less aerobic than biking, and you use more muscles biking. Next, for me I changed food by eating mainly veggies...a few fruits and less protein. I have lost 15 pounds in the last 4 months...not great but it is slowly getting better. The kicker is I look like I have lost 30 lbs. because I look fit.

i think this could help

diet: plenty of fruit and vegterables ( i no many people talk about it but it is extremly important that u have minimum 5 serves of veg and 3 serves of fruit daily) also to not push yourself too much . u may be doing to little or too less exercise and at the wrong time may i suggest a healthy breakfast with wholegrain toast, cereal and fruit then followed by a morning jog

exercising - a weeks work should include (at ur rate)

100 sit ups (this helps with the mid section)
minimum 10 push ups
at an age were physice is important try not to do those kilometres running - just a slow paced jog around 10k minimum a week

I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose - make sure you are not eating too much or too little. It also depends on how much you weight and what/how you were eating before
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Dear friend,
1) Leave the tention, it lead to over eating.
2) Have a walk for at least a hr in morning and possible in evening.
3) drink at least 2 lts of water if possible with lime, don't forget to have at least 2 glass of water before taking any food.
4) try to meditate and be happy.

try finding some songs that you like and dance to them. Don't stress out about losing the pounds. RELAX, when you dance. drink tons of water, so you can burn fat quicker.

you must go to gem center and you can also eat a diet meal and go to a doctor to follow it with u and if you has a loss money you can walk everday for 5meters and donot eat the food which make you fat and with my dreams to be a model
