Hi Lihanmu, since you already know Chinese, therefore I won't bother putting the Mandarin translation here.

Here's Filipino for you: "Kaihirap ng buhay."
-----------------------------

Hi Lihanmu, Filipino is the national language of the Philippines. It's actually Tagalog just given a fancy name ("standardized" - according to Wikipedia.) Because after all, if you're going to go National, you have to be dressed up for the occasion. Besides, with "Filipino," possibilities open up for the language to evolve further, and in time may even become VERY distinct from the original Tagalog whence it originated.
-------------------------------------

Hi Nihonggo, thanks for the correction. Because of this, I made a prompt research on the correct spelling of the word. Here's what I found. People spell it differently:

Kay hirap (as separate words)
kayhirap (as a single word)
kay-hirap (with a hyphen)
kaihirap (very few people spell it this way, so as you say it must be wrong)

The question now is, which is really the standard spelling (between the remaining three)? I think I'm going to ask a friend of mine who's very good in Tagalog, and let her join this forum.

MOTHRA LEO has some corrections.

It's not Kaihirap ng Buhay. It's KAYHIRAP NG BUHAY

What? Is that Spanish? No!

MOTHRA LEO'S answers are correct but have another suggestion:

mahirap ang buhay. (Filipino)

"Kay" is translated as "very". Thus it would be: kay hirap ng buhay (life is very difficult).
