Talk to your bank about a pre-paid card. Then, once you have established that you can work with one, ask for a $200 credit limit or somthing low. Then pay off the entire balance every month and your credit score with shoot up. The bank will want to throw money at you.

WaMu plat. MC It has a low interest rate and it has rewards, plus it has a neat feature with it's online banking that shows you you FICO score every month.
