I'm 17. I'm not fat. I workout about 4 times a week. I'm really into fitness. But I can't seem to lose this layer of belly fat . I have definded abs under the fat but how do I burn the fat.
Cruches, sit-ups, bicycle crunches, etc...dont work for me! What can I do to get rid of the fat

crunches, sit ups etc dont work for anybody, lol, all they do is build muscle, they dont burn fat so they make your belly look bigger.
The only way to get rid of it is by lowering your body fat percentage which you achieve by cardio (the only fat burning exercise) 4-6 times a week for average of 45min (the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat) and healthy diet that consists of fresh, unprocessed foods, have 5-6 small meals a day.

Unfortunately there is no way to spot-reduce any part of your body. Fat is fat, regardless of where it is. And the only way to lose fat is to take in fewer calories than you're expending. You can do this in one of two ways: diet or exercise. (Or both.) The benefit of doing sit-ups or crunches is that you tighten the abdominal muscles beneath any belly fat you have. So, even if you don't lose weight (or fat), you can make your tummy *appear* to be somewhat slimmer just by virtue of the fact that your muscles pull everything up and in. A simple exercise while you're watching TV is just simple walking in place or some similar activity. Side steps, jump rope (a really good one!), jumping jacks, dancing, or even just doing that kind of tai-bo punching stuff, etc. Anything that gets you moving and gets your heart rate up and something you can sustain for at least 20 minutes at a time. Good luck to you!

You have this reserve for a reason...You are only 17 and you will keep that belly for a couple more years, until the rest of the baby fat melts off. It is also possible that this will be the area of your body you will be at odds with the rest of your life (welcome to the club). I suppose you also do cardio with your workout routine?... If you are thin with the exception of a little belly fat, that means you will have that a your Nemesis for years to come. If you are generally on the rounder side, try more cardio to your fitness regimen and stay away from refined sugars... Good luck..

I take it your female, so your done growing pretty much, stay away from sodas, and only have 1 snack a day, eat meals to make your body "satasfied" not full and make sure to keep at your work out. Eventully you'll trim down that nasty fat.
