If Christians treated everyone with respect while also standing up for what they believe in and not compromising, I think things would be much better.

Well i think the foundations are set. Christians widely do already accept that the old testament is outdated and outmoded, and Jesus in the NT does not speak critically of homosexuality or homosexuals.

Therefore once can assume that love thy neighbour and do unto others is the rule here. I think the really pivotal thing will be christians accepting the modern scientific viewpoint, and the viewpoint expressed by homosexuals and bisexuals themselves that being gay is not a choice, but part of the genetic condition, therefore it is not a sin but simply the way God makes around ten percent of the population for his own reasons, as he does other animals in which we also witness homosexual behaviour.

Once this understanding has been achieved i think christian-gay relations will wholly improve.

1. Attend gay pride celebrations with their gay friends and relatives, as well as other concerts, plays, and social events.

2. Attend gay commitment ceremonies.

3. Read and be able to discuss books about coming out, gay oppression, HIV and the Gay Men's Health Crisis, etc.

4. Never, ever threaten anyone EVER with hell. It doesn't exist and is probably the most offensive word in the Christian lexicon.

5. Welcome gay couples, families, and individuals into the church.

6. Allow PFLAG to use the church building for meetings for minimal costs.

I am not a Christian, but why should anyone care what someone else does in the privacy of their own home? As long as whoever it is is a good person, gay or straight, who cares!

Or are you referring to gay relatives? See above.

WISDOM; there is no bible truth to christian gay relationships christian means to be Christlike JESUS loves all and died for all , but JESUS doesn't agree with every ones lifestyle in fact GOD in the beginning created man for woman and woman for man for the purpose of multiplying his creation the family. only a man and woman can fulfill that miracle. furthermore all Christians should love all but not agree with all .

I'm a Christian, but I have a hard time believing that homosexuality is wrong. Gay people are no different than anyone else, and the only way to make things better is to treat them like normal people.

The only relation a Christian should have with a homosexual is to present the Gospel to them. If they turn from their sin and become a Christian they should be treated like any other Christian.
