That is SO annoying and you have my sympathy. I get a similar problem. In my case, it is entirely caused by eye strain. Cheaper fluorescent lights have flicker that eventually causes significant eye strain. Your using a computer, watching TV, all of that can worsen the effect since you may rarely give your eyes a rest from flicker that you don't even notice. Spend 1/2 hour twice a day covering your eyes with your hands to relax them. I did this 3 times daily and it eliminated the problem. I would not use something that is heated as it could be too hot for the eyes.
Secondly, it could also be caused by stress. People frequently get various facial ticks when they are highly stressed. This can be due to overwork, anxiety, family problems and even an illness.

Get checked for benign essential blepharospasm. Do take it to a doctor; don't take the word of someone on a Yahoo board who throws around big words. : - )

Its normal. I know what you're talking about. Just get some good sleep and it will go away. I have experienced it many times. Relax and enjoy life :)

You're ok. Sometimes twitches happen like that. I had one exactly as you describe. I don't know what causes it but it does feel funny, and it can be distracting.
