If you were trying to lower a BMI reading by increasing the size of your neck, what would be some good exercises to do? I have a pencil neck and always get screwed when it comes time for the rope and choke.

Do a couple sets of shrugs 3x a week. Don't do a super high weight at first though!

1. Lay on your back as if you were doing a crunch, but just lift your head and shake your head 'no' a bunch of times.

2. Bridge yourself forward on your feet and head, hands off the floor, and rock back and forth carrying as much weight on your head as you can tolerate, also scoot your feet laterally around your head.

3. There is a machine at the gym that has an attachment you put around your head to lift the weight

The first two I learned in martial arts class. #3 I have just observed others doing.

I'm not sure . . . I imagine shrugging exercises would help. When you find out be sure to tell me. Good night!
