I would stick with the broth, it's a nice treat for the pup every now and then. Try adding some to his food for an extra kick. I'd stay away from the kool-aide, have you ever seen how it stains your fingers and counter? Just imagine what it does to your insides!

Sure, chicken or beef broth is fine now and then,as a treat,or as a topper for dry dog food (but, make sure it's not too salty.)Also,a lot of dogs love a little milk,as long as it doesn't give them diarrhea, and I once had a Beagle who had a bout of diarrhea, and the vet told me to let him eat Popsicles to keep him hydrated,so I guess if the dog likes them ,a Popsicle now and then is OK,too.

Pet stores carry flavored dog water that contains vitamins. Sometimes just as a treat I'll buy my dog a few different flavors and give her some in the morning just to give her variety. Check out your local pet store or New York Dog Magazine, they always advertise it there.

i hate answering questions with a question...but oh well: why is it that you want to introduce your dog to kool-aid ..or tea? there really is no need for sugary or caffinated beverages on his menu.....in his world water is a.o.k. if its that youre looking to treat your pal to a nice drink once in awhile--you hit the nail on the head chicken broth, beef broth-- perhaps boil up some duck broth...rabbit broth ( i think you get the gist) ....freeze the broth =pupcicles ...or they sell puppy pops of some sort at pet shops. in rovers world he just might prefer you spending time with him throwing the ole' ball around as apposed to treating him to a pint of....broth.
try giving him some plain yogurt, its good for digestion.

I occasionally give my dog orange juice, he loves it. I only do it once in a while though because the sugar is not very good for their teeth. My dog also loves coffee, if I leave my espresso sitting on the table he hops up and starts to drink it! It depends on the dog, they all like different things.

Yepp....they can drink kool-aid and tea just its not very good for them. It makes them obese and tea has tons of caffine. Remember, water is the only thing that can quench their thirsts, so if you are giving your puppy kool-aid then it is still going to be thirsty.

Don't worry. Chicken broth will be fine. I've given my dog unsweetened green tea.

Herbal tea with no caffeine. Some things with caffeine, have theobramine. I'd be worried some. Nobody's ever talked about juice, yet I know it's fine. Sugarwise though, you're right. You've got to be careful!! Vegetables, I guess, or make your own herbal tincture, maybe brewed.

Usually in the morning after I finish a bowl of cereal and I have leftover milk I split it between my two dogs and they seem fine.
