Remember When by Alan Jackson.
We played that song at my Mom and Dad's anniversary party. Everyone commented on how it fit them perfectly. Give it a listen.
Good Luck finding a good song!

What a beautiful idea! I think you should approach your Grandmother and ask her if she and your Grandfather had a song that was played at their wedding that she would like you to play as you'd like to honour your Grandfather. Springing the song on her without warning could cause her some pain, but I think that if it's planned correctly, this wonderful idea will make her really feel a big part of your special day. Perhaps if your Grandmother is still mobile, your new husband could partner her for the dance. Best wishes for your wedding day. Just read your post about your Grandmother having Alzheimer's. Perhaps in light of her memory not being so good, play something standard from the era they were married like Vera Lynn's "We'll Meet Again" (We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when...but I know we'll meet again, some sunny day") would be appropriate. It's a classic song, and there will not be a dry eye in the house if you play it.

Because you Loved me - by Celine Dion or The River by Garth Brooks:
The River Lyrics :
You know a dream is like a river
Ever changin' as it flows
And a dreamer's just a vessel
That must follow where it goes
Trying to learn from what's behind you
And never knowing what's in store
Makes each day a constant battle
Just to stay between the shores
And I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry
Like a bird upon the wind
These waters are my sky
I'll never reach my destination
If I never try
So I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry
Too many times we stand aside
And let the waters slip away
'Til what we put off 'til tomorrow
It has now become today
So don't you sit upon the shoreline
And say you're satisfied
Choose to chance the rapids
And dare to dance that tide
And I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry
Like a bird upon the wind
These waters are my sky
I'll never reach my destination
If I never try
So I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry
There's bound to be rough waters
And I know I'll tke soome falls
With the good Lord as my captain
I can make it through them all
And I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry
Like a bird upon the wind
These waters are my sky
I'll never reach my destination
If I never try
So I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry
Lord, I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry
Yea

for my parents 25th, we had a lot of songs from my grandparents through the present, but we centered it around what they liked and had meaning to them, like their first wedding dance song, etc. anything from frank sinatra to the beach boys can be appreciated by almost everyone. if you really want to include songs from more modern things, look into some indie stuff like the old 97s or the decemberists.

Doing their wedding song would be a lot more meaning full I think, it would show attention to detail and the newer song will mean nothing to them.
