I'm gonna be putting a 3" body lift on my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT.

I don't know much about tires, but I'm thinking of 31-32" tires. Would I be able to use the same wheels I have? Can anyone link me to some specific tires that they have or think would look good? I will NOT be offroading at all, so no need for super swampers or anything like that.

Please don't answers if you're just going to link me to tirerack.com or something lke that.

I'm putting a body lift for appearance. I don't like how my truck looks, and I've seen many pictures of trucks with just body lifts (not sus) and it looks fine. I was told not to bother with a sus lift if I'm not going to offroad at all. My truck has a v6 so I'm not worried about the engine.

a 31x10.5 would probably fit your rims, i think the ranger has a 15"x7.5 or 8" wide rim, which would be an acceptable fit. and honestly you could probably go as wide as 11.5" say a 32x11.5 i would just find a good all round allterrain. bf goodrich allterrain, or bridgestone dueler revo at's if you want something a little more aggressive, find a bfgoodrich mt. Actually one other company that makes great tires is cooper. check them out as well. But in all honesty with you i saw you want to put a body lift on your truck. I would avoid that. they are way more trouble than they are worth. save up and sprend a few extra bucks for a suspension lift. you will havea smoother ride and be money ahead in the long run.

A body lift is bad JooJoo.

If you're not offroading, why a lift at all?

BTW, if your Ranger has a 4banger, 31s or 32s will more than likely bog down the motor because the gearing will be wrong and the motor will not be strong enough to turn the new larger rubber like it does the old.

I have 31x10.5 R15 on my 2wd 2000 Ranger, and I had to put a 3" lift on the truck. The back was fine (tight, but fine), but I could not turn the front full lock, and that is with 15" rims. If you have a 4x4, you should be fine, but not if you have a 2wd. I used a Fabtech kit which I beleive is no longer available, that uses raised spindles and blocks. The front was a 3" raise, so I used 3" blocks in the rear as well to keep the same stance.

If you are at all concerned about fuel mileage, a lift kit and big tires is a bad idea. But beyond that, should u put big tires on it, you'll need to have some1 change the speedometer gear as your registered speed will be thrown off.

I don't know anything about tires either but I had to get new ones so I went to Discount tires. They were sooooo helpful and nice and got me what I needed. I recommend going there and getting an expert opinion
