My sister just sprung on me that she is getting married this upcomming october about a week before halloween. The reason its so soon is cause her fiances dad has lung cancer and has a half a year to live and wants to see his son finally get married. She wants some sort of maskerade ball ?(i think i spelled that wrong) like at the end of the movie in Van Hellsing to be the theme in her wedding..or in other words "victorian" and she wants my ideas and help to jumpstart the process and make it beautiful..can anyone help me in any way for flowers, or pictures of victorian weddings, or decorations in general that will work? I really appreciate the help..ty in advance. (p.s. pictures and websites would really help me out) ty .

you could use a large varity of colors in your flowers, and the mask will sit it all together. Give the mask out for favors at the beginning of the reception. Use candles to add flair and mystery.

Try French Quarter style...black, plum, dark green or dark blue...
Try Shindigz for ideas.
You can look at Mardi Gras theme stuff.

I also found this site that talks in details about someone elses masquerade wedding and reception.

Talk her out of it! The poor guy is dying and they are having some cheesy Halloween, masquerade ball? Tell her to have a traditional wedding with some Fall colors incorporated. The guy wants a wedding, give him a wedding, I'm sure he's been to a Halloween party before.
