What do you need to do become an Army Ranger. You meet w/ a recruiter then what?

Can you get it gurranteed in your enlisted contract? Any enlistment bonuses? Drop out rate? Please, anything you know would be helpful.

You can now, I was just talking to two recruiters right after I posted this; you can get Ranger school in your contract now

i served in the Marines, but for any special forces you have to do several years before you can try out for them, you can't just go straight in as special forces.

Ask your recruiter, you can get guaranteed a slot, but there are no guarantees a person will last the first day. They start out with a run that never seems to end, at a 6.5 to 7 minute mile pace, in boots, and those that fall behind never unpack their bags.

After that, it gets really tough.

You can get a rip option in your contract, but you cannot get a guaranteed slot in a Ranger Bat.

You will be Ranger Qualified, tabbed, but most likely not part of 75TH.

you sign a RIP contract. Option 40 I believe.

you CANT be guaranteed this because you CO has to give the a recommendation.
