I've played, seen, reported on, and broadcasted all kinds of sports in 42 years of life.

NASCAR is #1 with the NFL a distant 2nd. Why?

NASCAR remembers that this is a fan's sport, and the drivers do a convincing job of faking it if they don't.

No steroids

A limited amount of showing up on the police log.

No thugs.

They pray for the drivers and our troops before each race. God and country, a great combination.

It just has an All-American feel that's missing from the others.

Just my opninion..but you asked.

Selig ruined baseball (as did the Union), the players and lousy marketing have ruined the NBA.

I suppose golf and tennis are well-run sports, but I'd rather watch paint dry. But hey, people love them, so that's cool by me.

I have the need, the need.....for speed!!!!!

NASCAR is the premier sport so it is alone on the pedestal.

But games I like are college football and basketball.

Pro football is OK, but I have no use for pro basketball any longer.

Soccer doesn't even budge the passion meter for me.

I like F1 OK as well, but it could disappear tomorrow and I would feel no great loss.

kimivilleneuve, I've known of a few incestuous relationships but all their kids are diehard F1 snobs. Must be the gene damage or possibly just childish rebellion.

14 years Chargers fan. Fiance/Wife got me into NASCAR in 05 (shes from TN and lived in TX all her life). I've spent more time chasing Yahoo sports NASCAR, ESPN NASCAR, JAYSKI.COM, and NASCAR.com to include $$$ in one year than I did my whole Chargers Drive on NFL.com. I never corresponded nation wide via internet during football seasons like I do with NASCAR. I go home early from work just to watch qualifying. Government computers dont allow Media player to support PitCommand. I can go all day explaining why NASCAR is the best. Most of all, I have met great people just in this community itself.

I didn't know there were any other sports. LOL. For me, Nascar is the ONLY sport there is. Yeah, we have a superbowl party, but that's only a game and a reason to throw a party!

right at the top, then hockey, then football, then baseball, then basketball way in the distance. Ok now kimi you little waste of oxygen. Come on now F1's nothing but a bunch of oversized go-karts, if I wanted to watch a bunch of cars go by not passing each other I'll go see a parade. Oh beer bongs now that's really cool, fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life son. BTW I'm from New Jersey and my parents are from NYC, I guess that rules out redneck. Kicking NASCAR fan's a**es, oooh big words on a computer, probably wouldn't have the balls to try it in person. Oh yeah BTW I'm not going to say what happened to the last person that tried to kick my a**.
