I have friends that I will fellowship with for eternity, and others are temporal, and I shall not see them when this earthly body fails. This saddens me, but is a reality that I will nor deny. Some might surprise me with their absence, while others will astound me with their presence, but it shall be the Lord of the Harvest that separates the wheat from the tares.

I never recognised this as Nietzsche but the realisation that friends do grow apart is not news and you do have to let them go their own way. This doesn't mean you cannot catch up every 15 years or so and toss a few old jokes about and I think that is precisely what I think Nietzsche is driving at.
That you have put this in the context of Y!A and Theists as well as those who once were Theists is deep. Good processes going on in that mind of yours...

good question, altho I'm not sure if your quote refers to "individuals" or "beliefs" which were 'friends' a long time ago.
I looked at your profile and there appeared to be a "disconnect"
was set free at a Pentecostal alter on my knees, which and pardon me of I'm not ashamed, to be a one God Apostolic tongue talking Holy rollering born-again Heaven-bound believer in the liberating power of Jesus Name.
<\profile>
which sounded like the Rolling Stones "Far Away Eyes"
verse 2 or somehting
The quote evokes a sense of sadness relating to the passgage of time and the Buddhist "not being with people we like" form of dukka
but the word "all" sorta sticks in the conscious evaluation process since there *may* be hard-core mind-control belief-groups where this doesn't happen all that much
but maybe some people continue to live nearby their families of birth and childhood ... far from the noisiness of modern life .. and "lifelong friend" mighht even be an occasional reality\
Nietzsche is largely misunderstood ... waaay too much "baggage" .... like "other" well-known folks in the realm of religious thought
peace,

For it is written, "a little child shall lead them".
Yes, QB, I think God would prefer we should all be a little more childlike.....
Once two little boys,
Had two little toys,
Each was a wooden horse,
Gaily they played all summers day,
Warriors both of course.
Then one little chap
He had a mishap
He broke off his horse's head.
Wept for his toy,
Then cried for joy
As his young comrade said
Do you think I could leave you crying?
When there's room on my horse for you.
Climb up here Joe
And don't be sighing
We can go just as well with two.
When we grow up we'll
Both be soldiers
And our horses they
Won't be toys
And I wonder if you'll remember
When we were two little boys.
Long years have past
The war came at last
Gaily they marched away
Cannons roar loud
Missed the mad crowd
Wounded and dying Jack lay.
Then out rang a cry
A horse dashes by,
From out the ranks of blue
Galloped away to where Jack lay
And a voice rang out loud and true
Do you think I could leave you dying
When there's room on my horse for you?
Climb up here Jack
And don't be sighing
We can go just as well with two.
Did you say Jack I'm all atremble?
Well, it may be the cannon's noise
Or it may be that I remember
When we were two little boys.
The above poem was taught to my wife by her Grandfather, who was born in 1890. My wife's Grandfather had older brothers who served in the civil war; but my wife nor I have ever seen this poem; do not know its title or authorship, it just seemed to fit your question.
And the scripture that fits YOU is: Jas 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
God Bless

This life is so short it is like a single frame of a movie flashing on the theater screen, as compared to eternity.
In this short span we set our final destination. How sad it is that we lose friends and family, by choice, chance, or the passing of time. How GOOD it is that we shall meet them again in heaven, by choice, and COMMUNE throughout all ETERNITY.
Believe in THE LORD JESUS
JESUS IS GOD
GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIMSELF

We all have our own path to walk, the people we lose along the way are replaced by others. Like leaves on a tree we lose them to the fall but regain them in the spring and the cycle continues until we reach our own end. Then we are replaced with another who will carry on.

I can't agree with that cause it has nothing to do with Allah..
Allah said the hearts and minds of believers are connected even in the grave... and in eternal abodes..
So we never really loose our brothers and sisters they where here before we are born and they will be here when we are gone.

Christ prayed that we be one. His wisdom is greater because he was true God and true man.
