We just got a kitten today. My mother picked up the cat, and she jumped out of her arms. Afterwards, it seemed like she was slightly limping. She is sleeping now and seemed fine, but is the fact that she seemed to be walking different before something to worry about? Can I check for a sprain if it is possible?

Thanks for any help.

Exact same thing happened to me a week ago.
My kitten was limping pretty badly for the rest of the night and her energy was completely gone..but I woke up the next morning and she was perfectly fine.

Just keep an eye on the kitten. If it is still limping after today call the vet and tell them about it. Ask them if you should bring it in. Just because people say cats land on their feet, they still can break them. I would not put it off calling the vet if still limping. I hope this helps.

WHen I got my kitten, she fell down my stairs. She was also limping. But after a good nap and rest she was completely fine. I dont think you should worry

She's probably okay, but if she continues to limp after a few days have gone by then take her to the vet. But my guess is she's fine.

Just watch her for a day or two. If she's still limping, then she probably needs to see a vet for an Xray. But she's probably OK.

she might have just injured it alittle like you do when you fall on it. and like you do after an hour or so it will go away.

check on her later on, if she is still limping try to feel her paw/leg to see what her actions are. I would not be worried. More than likely its just tender from the jump.

It's probably ok. Cats always land on their feet and jump from high places all the time. have fun with your new kitten!!!
