Mexican is a nationality, and one with its own ethnic culture, but it is not a race. Mexicans can be white, black, or whatever. Most are indigenous Indian or some mixture.
If you are half Indian and half white and the other parent is also, then the baby would be half and half also (1/4 Indian from you + 1/4 white from you + 1/4 Indian from other parent + 1/4 white from other parent).

The baby is half Mexican and half white. But Mexicans are a mixture of native Americans and Spanish, and whites in the US are almost always mixed mutt. (some of this, some of that) so, that baby is almost exactly what I am 100% mutt.

The headline to your question is what race am I? How about the human race? It does not matter what the race of your child should be. Raise it to be proud of both heritages. I am part English, French, German, Swiss, Swedish, and Irish, So what am I? Just don't get so hung up on things like this. You'll be busy enough when the child gets older and starts to get into everything. Just give them lots of love.

Does it really matter? I am a mix but dont concern myself with such trivial matters. Youre a child of God, thats what matters.
