Smoked a pack a day for nearly 20 years. I turned 32, quit smoking and took a sit-down job all within about 3 months ('bout 10 years ago). I went from 160lbs to 240 and crept up from there. Started losing after I hit 260, but still can't bike more than about 6 miles without being winded.

Don't worry about it. I don't see the point of taking weed either, seems like a waste of money that you could use for more useful things such as a decent pair of shoes or some designer jeans. There's nothing wrong with being a virgin at 16; i believe you should wait for someone who's worth it and isn't just going to leave you the next day, that's what i'm going to do anyway. There are nice boys who aren't just after sex but the problem is, i'm not attracted to them and they're kinda awkward. I have drank before and i like the buzz you get with two or three drinks but i don't ever plan on being drunk because i don't like the idea of vomiting/a hangover or losing control of my own body. I don't party either, i'm too young and i don't get invited. I don't have many friends either, i pretty much have one decent friend at the moment and it's early days with her, the rest are acquaintances (people i'm trying to become friends with or people who aren't worthy of the title "friend.") No, i wouldn't consider you stuck up, i'd consider you sensible.

i never did regain the lost ability. You can quit smoking, it will help prevent further loss..but will not undo the damage which has been done.
