Can someone please explain why we don't do that?

OK PEOPLE My husband actually put this question on here while I was sleeping last night. It wasn't me I swear. He can be really dense sometimes.

as far as the person who said they read my profile, yes I do have a 12 year old son, and I do homeschool him. I NEVER said I was a Christian. I NEVER said I homeschool him in the "Christian way" whatever that is and if hell exists you'll probably be right there next to me. Have a nice day.

Because then America will become what she is trying to fight. And when that happens it will be the end of the world as we know it.

Because that would be too arbitrary. There would be no desirable result achieved. In WW2, we shrewdly used 2 atomic bombs to secure a Japanese surrender and spare a million allied casualties -- at a cost of 100,000+ civilian lives.
Nuking Iraq or Iran would undoubtedly do more harm than good and would bring condemnation from the whole world.

A- Bombs aren't used anymore by American forces, that's why!
The better question is why don't we drop a thermonuclear bomb on Iraq or Iran? The answer, we're trying not to look like a bunch of pricks
If you've ever been to Iraq, the first thought that comes to mind is... I'm pretty confident that God doesn't intend for people to live here, why don't we just turn this place into one giant piece of radiated glass. Sooner or later, your bound to see children playing in the street, women buying food at the market, and you'll [possibly] reconsider

First their are thousands of innocent people in those countries. Second fallout sucks. Third we signed a treaty saying we wouldn't use nuclear bombs. Fourth the uprising that would cause amongst the remaining Islamic nations would put everything we have seen thus far to shame. Really, the only thing good about having a nuke is it makes people think twice before shooting one at you.

It's because doing so will legitimize other nations to do the same. Russia, China, India, Pakistan, North Korea can claim the right to use them against whom they perceive as a threat. The rest of the smaller nations will do everything to have such weapon for their defense. This will lead to nuclear proliferation.

It'd start world war three.
Also, the Iraq people in general are not our enemies. The insurgents are. So to do that would be killing a whole lot of people allied with us. Despite what the rest of the world may accuse us of, we are not war criminals or murderers who wantonly kill civilians in search of cheap oil. That's why we don't drop an atomic bomb on Iraq and Iran

Women, Children, Elderly-Neighbors with possible future nuclear power, and the environment. I wish there was a bomb that could destroy only the weapons, and leaders that have evil intent, but sadly they destroy the tiniest of all the babies.

Well i hardly think dropping atomic bombs everwhere is the way to go but what you have to consider is the other countries that have neclear weaponry. Say we dropped a nuke on russia. That would suck because they would retaliate and nuke us which would eventually lead to world war III. Also to nuke iraq or iran, we would have to suddenly take all troops out of the country and than Bush would be impeached before he can do anything.
If you honestly think nuking countries will solve anything, your obviously a republican. But then again, so am I. ;)
And i havnt evan gottan to the most importanr factor THE OIL. The reason were in iraq is because we want their oil and nuking it will destroy what we have been fighting for for years.

Well, we would kill a lot of Americans if we dropped nukes on Iraq. Besides the enemy in Iraq is hard to identify. If Iran does not stop trying to produce nuclear weapons, we many find it necessary to drop nuclear bombs on their nuclear facilities, as well as, a conventional attack on their military bases and ports.

Well that's my husband's reaction also, but it would be an even bigger mistake than the mess we are already in. Most of the rest of the world is not too thrilled with the war in Iraq now. If we did that, they would actually turn against us. There would be no winners. Everyone would lose.
