Egypt would never again rule over nations
Bible passage: Ezekiel 29:15
Written: between 593-571 BC
Fulfilled: 1967, etc.
In Ezekiel 29:15, the prophet says that Egypt would recover from a desolation (perhaps Babylon's attack about 2600 years ago), but that it would never again rule over other nations. Up until the time of Ezekiel, Egypt had been a world power for centuries, dominating many nations, including Israel. But for most of the past 2500 years, Egypt has been controlled by foreign powers, including the Romans, Ottomans and Europeans. Today, Egypt is an independent nation again. In 1948, 1967 and 1973, Egypt tried to dominate Israel but was unsuccessful each time, despite the fact that Egypt is 10 times larger than Israel. Egypt today, in many respects, is an impressive nation. But since the time of Ezekiel, it no longer rules over other nations.

Ezekiel 29:15
… I will make it so weak that it will never again rule over the nations.

there is no self respecting god who would want the words in the bible attrbuted to himself, there is too much violence and misogyny in it for any really good deity to have said any of it, don't you agree?? You do? Oh, good, I am ever so glad.

Passage: Yellow Pages, page 1151
Written: between 2006 and 2007
Fulfilled: 2007, etc.

In Yellow Pages 1151, there is a phone number for an office building located in a suburban, residentially-zoned neighborhood. Up until this time, offices could not be located in this area since the founding of the city over 200 years ago. Today, there are now important offices owned by the city on the lot. Despite cutbacks in the departments offices again and again, the same department has not only stayed its ground, but has expanded in terms of size and funding. It's an impressive program with many fine marks and rewards, but it has never been pushed out due to zoning laws.

And, I can hearby attest that the number in the Yellow Pages for that building (where I work) is 100%, absolutely correct.
-----------
My point? Pointing out a single true fact doesn't mean that:
1 - A god wrote or inspired the book (unless you claim divinity in the Yellow Pages, of course)
2 - That all of the facts in the book are correct. Try tackling a supernatural event, such as a human virgin giving birth to a child. Those are the really sticky points.

Again Protestantism gives us fairy tales. Just because Egypt doesn't rule over any countries now, doesn't mean it won't again. YOu are working under the protestant wrong geared notion that the world is about to end. History is not over.
Your bible prophecy is bull.
Protestants ahve been doing this for 400 years and refuse to listen. It only proves that you and others do not know anything about the bible.
The Sky is falling. My God we've had enough of these dooms day prophets.

The Bible was written 400 years after Jesus died. How can it be the word of God? The Bible was written soly by the hand of man. If you look at the Bible closely you will see it is made to control the masses not inform the masses? Look at your church if you fail to conform you get the boot. This is all about control not God or Jesus. Get off your tail and read what the book says not what the church tells you it says.

If it is the word of God, then God doesn't know that pi isn't 3, that the Earth isn't flat, and has got some of the history wrong. The Bible was written by men inspired by their belief in God. Archaeology is the double-edged sword that shows it was right in some places and wrong in others. God would have been 100% accurate - the Bible isn't.

After the breakup of the Ottoman Empire, the British appointed Hashemite kings from Egypt to rule over Syria, Transjordan and Iraq.

Good try.

Then why does Genesis sound an awful lot like a revision of the greek myth of Pandora's box. I believe the Bible contains the message of God, within parables of human devising and through the teachings of Jesus.

For starters, it ain't over yet. But beyond that just because someone predicts something that is true so far is no indication of the existence of God.
