One may have faith (s)he can move a 50 ton boulder with a ballpeen hammer and a wheelbarrow, but the common sense to know it isn't worth the time and effort. One may have faith (s)he can resist temptation, but the common sense not to get into a situation that tests it. Is faith the end product, or the beginning step?

Faith is something we carry in our hearts, but common sense is carried in our brains. The heart needs the brain to continue life just as faith needs common sense to help steer a clear path through life. The two work together towards one common goal, so neither faith nor common sense is the beginning or the end. They both exist to temper each other in the human race.

It takes common sense to know if the faith we have will be enough to do the job. We can have faith with out sense and sense with out faith. The are not mutually conclusive.
