I am 16 (almost 17) and received my license a few months ago. I have been driving my brother's old Buic Century, but my dad is currently looking for a car for me. My dad is convinced on the quality of the car (he is very knowledgeable with cars), but as far as I am concerned, is it a stylish car for me to drive? Is it a car I would ultimately be happy with?

I guess I didn't clarify my question well enough. I'm undecided whether or not I'm in love with the car or not. What I want to know is...Would it be a good "first" car? Would a lot of other people my age have the car? Is this car considered an "old people" car, for lack of a better term?

First you want your first car to be good looking as well as dependable. If your really seriously thinking about a car get one that will have a good return and if you keep it long enough it will double in value as well as be something you can leave your kids. The value will depend if you keep clear records of all service and repairs with receipts. A car is a good investment that can give you a lot of fun and take you everywhere as long as you take good care of it,. Some thing that will destroy its value and its integrity is Hot Roding, fast take offs and fast sliding turns and there dangerous as well. Good luck with your new car and always watch the other guy and know where everything around you is at all times. GOD Bless

"Would it be a good "first" car?"
I don't see why not. It's not that big and with a 4 cylinder should be good on gas

"Would a lot of other people my age have the car?"
I don't know and what does this have to do with you?

"Is this car considered an "old people" car, for lack of a better term?"
Definitely not! Stop worrying about what other people will think and concentrate on what you will like! Go to a Pontiac dealer and get in one! Play with the knobs and buttons and see yourself in one.

Sure they look good, but be aware that you'll have plenty of little repairs during the first year or so.

After that you get the fun of expensive repairs especially front end parts.

Enjoy!

So your asking us to give your opinion to you? Aright, you will be horribly unsatisfied with it!!! Do not buy!!! \
Or instead of someone guessing your opinion you could always just look at a picture.
