I'm a practical person.

Yeah, it would be good for planning. I think the whole, "No," thing is mostly what people are taught they should say and is an overrated, over romanticized answer.

Also, I would have no more need to fear -- if I know I'm going to die in ten years, then I don't have to worry about it today -- if I know I'm going to die today I can let go instead of worry and make the most of my last day. Either way, no need to worry about death anymore.

Interesting thought.

Knowing the day and how of our deaths would make living a bit more interesting, or at least watching others more interesting.

Seems to me , that if we knew of the day and way of our own deaths, we would do some pretty outrageous and down right death defying things, knowing that we would not die until a certain time and a certain way.

In the end, not a good idea or plan.

In line with islamic teaching,no one knows where, when and why we will die.The death of someone is decided by Alah the only one God.But all humans and other creatures certainly will die..Thye time of our death can be delayed or postponed in a second. But if you ask me how I am going to die my answer is :I want to die in a right time in my own home and a right manner without giving much burden to my lefting family..I want to die as a good muslim in a peaceful situation.

No, That would be awful! Counting down the days. Worrying all the time, I only have 5 years left and I haven't been to Europe yet!

It might possibly be of interest if I cared; however, since I will get there soon enough, it doesn't matter all that much.
