Does windows movie maker accept all pictures?

it's not accepting any of my cat pictures...which are of my cat. i'm planning to make a video with pictures i'm gonna take. will it work.

It will most likely not accept any PNG format pictures, and it might not support some other odd formats, like TIFF or PCX. It should not have any problems with .BMP, .JPG, or .GIF files, though.
