You need to force - feed it,then, but if it isn't drinking,it will get dehydrated.Maybe the best thing to do would be to take it back to the vet so they can put it on an IV until it feels better.

Get a large syringe (no needle) and use pedialyte (better than water, used for sick children & babies). You can buy it at the grocery store. Just be sure not to aspirate your dog (get the fluid into it's lungs). You will need to draw up the fluid into the syringe and then put it into the side of your dogs mouth and slowly push the fluid into its mouth. It will be messy so be sure to put down a towel or something first. Try to feed your dog some baby food (turkey or chicken, the really mushy ones not the chunky ones). If your dog won't eat it on it's own then use the syringe to do the same as with the pedialyte. Don't wait too long though if your dog doesn't start eating you will want to get the dog to the vet immediantly and get IV fluids because it can get dehydrated quickly especially depending on it's size. If it's a very small dog don't wait at all because they will get dehydrated more rapidly. Good luck and I hope your dog gets better. Did the vet run any tests: such as blood tests, x-rays. If no then I would ask for these things to be done and quickly.

I'd take him to a different vet, ASAP.
