I am employed at a New car Dealer.
I have used both Carfax & Autocheck
I have found errors with both but this is a rarity.

I actually prefer Autocheck because the report is easier to read, (better layout) & provides a little more information than Carfax.
Autocheck is a little cheaper, so I find it has more value for the money.

I did some research some time ago as for whom i wanted as an affiliate on my website and I went with Carfax, I will be the first to admit they are not 100% perfect but is the # 1 choice with dealers.

There is much that goes beyond history buying a vehicle, been in the industry 30 years - and now retired, if you care to pick my brains study my website http://www.usedcartips.org/ good luck in your hunt
