Something I can get OTC...no prescriptions!

Here's what I've tried and don't like:
Nyquil (too groggy and too many meds you don't need)
Unisom (too groggy)
Tylenol Simply Sleep (not powerful enough)
Melatonin (causes dysphoria, not powerful enough)
Valerian Root (not nearly powerful enough)

I want something that will deliver a sure KO when I need to get to sleep early, without leaving me feeling like **** in the AM!!!

Yo, I listed Tylenol Simply Sleep as one of the meds I've tried, it's active ingredient is diphenhydramine, which is in the Benadryl yall are recommending.

Try sex. Totally relaxes you and most men can fall asleep deeply afterward. If that doesn't do it try warm milk, or a turkey sandwich.

Most Powerful Sleep Aid

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!

1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.

2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.

The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.

After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net

Ohhh..and Good Luck!

Ambien appears to have some promising benefits to it, although most sleep meds are not designed to treat long term insomnia and can even make it worse. Recently, i have been taking lorazepam, which is technically not a sleep aid- but and anti-anxiety agent. It has a relaxing effect to the point where it has enabled me to fall asleep easily and stay that way. My doctor thinks its ok that i use it for this purpose

Take diphenhydramine (Benadryl), but make sure you take it about 10 hours before you need to wake up so you don't feel groggy. Don't take Tylenol pm or Advil pm unless you are having pain. That is just unecessary medicine and the pm IS Benedryl.

I use Benadryl Allergy relief (I don't have allergies)
also Benadryl Cold & Synus. my pharmacist said they work good for a sleep aid, and He was right, it worked on me and it usually takes an elephant dart to put me down.
