Firstly, I'd like to make it very clear that I do *NOT* plan on starving myself for any length of time. Now for my question, I'd like to know about how much weight someone would lose if they were to fast for three months while still continuing to drink water and take vitamins.

Yeah it really depends on what your weight is before hand, your age and how you lose weight in general. I would say anywhere between 25-50 pounds. Good luck on your fast. I know you will feel really good after wards.

suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of impurities. Impurities come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The impurities get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the impurities by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://diet4cleansing.com

They would probably die. That is too long. See site below to see how fasting is different than starving with quotes from 17 MDs on how good fasting is and how effective it is for weight loss. One MD does not fast people past 50 days.

Fasting and starving yourself are 2 different things. Fasting is for religious intent. And Starving is simply unhealthy. Especially for 3 months. Taking vitamins will not give you the nutrients and other minerals that you get from food. This is where you get your energy. The problem with Fasting and Starving yourself is that you will lose muscle and not alot of fat. Because your body gets more energy from burning muscle than it does from burning fat. So you will lose weight to say how much all depends on the person.

i would highly recommend not fasting for that long.. that is extremely dangerous. vitamins would not help because your body can only absorb vitamins if they are taken with some sort of food,(you body absorbs even more if you have healthy fats with it) so taking them and only drinking water would be useless.

it really depends on how fat you are to begin with...but for a girl who is 120 and 5 feet 5 ( that's me), i'm guessing would lose 25 lbs...I don't think I could physically lose anymore
