Depending on where you are coming from, but really... you should have made sure you are able to get into the country first before making your travel plans. At the borders, if your papers are not in order, it's doesn't matter if all you travel arrangements are made - YOU WILL NOT GET INTO THE COUNTRY!

Go to http://www.immi.gov.au
Department of Immigration - it will give you all the answers you need.

It would depend where you are coming from, as far as I know New Zealanders are the only ones that are allowed to enter Australia without a visa. I suggest that you either go to the Australian Immigration website www.imni.gov.au or perhaps you could enquire at a Travel Agent. - Good luck

people from some countries can get an electronic one on line

check to see if that applies to you as you do not say where you are coming from
