Hello:
It may sound like a fun thing to do,but it is very expensive and you will get alot of headaches, trust me! You will only be able to pay your day care staff minimum wage salaries at best and finding good staff to work in day care is a whole other story.
Even with thorough background checks, some staff can still show their true colors within a few weeks they may get kind of rough or mean with the kids, and then you have the unfortunate job of having to fire them. You will also face the problem of having to disenroll families that either can't or refuse to pay on time and it is heartbreaking to say the least.
There is also the cost of insurance that protects your day care in case of a serious accident and of course there is all of the extra training and seminars that you have set up for your staff to go to in order to earn their credits that complies with the DHS or Department of Human Services guidelines.Plus, you have to make sure that your cook or cooks know how to properly prepare a large amount of meals in a specified amount of time that follows DHS standards and your staff HAVE TO KNOW PROPER food handling and kitchen cleaning procedures too!
Every state is different but some day care centers are now requiring that any teachers that are hired for whatever age group MUST have a degree in early childhood education. One last thing is that ALL OF YOUR STAFF MUST KNOW how to do fire drills, what to do and where to go when the fire drills and you also have to do tornado drills too if they apply to your state wherever it is that you live in.

If you love kids, why not think about becoming a nanny? Unfortunately though, the need is almost exclusively in larger metropolitan areas, but if you live in or near a city, it's a terrific job for kid-lovers. I also had a home daycare for many, many years- and actually made money! But that was in the days before needing lots of insurance. Now, I wouldn't do it. But, nanny-ing is fabulous- rewarding, fun and well paying usually. Look in your Yellow Pages under nanny agencies and call to see what you need to do to register with them. Good Luck!

properly a "floater" is often a man or woman who's everywhere. in many situations a supervisor might seem to confirm once you are the 1st man or woman in a community while help is important. case in point, say 2 little ones are scuffling with over a toy or something. The supervisor may well be finding so you may well be the 1st man or woman to word the subject and be actively in contact in attempting to subject resolve to restoration the subject. My suggestion may well be in basic terms be in any respect places in any respect situations. mutually as this sounds impossible it somewhat is particularly what would be expected of you. you in basic terms might desire to be very, very lively. constantly save your eyes and ears extensive open. do not in undemanding terms walk around aimlessly, constantly look such as you have something to do and you have a purpose for being at artwork and each little thing might desire to artwork out super. good luck including your new interest. working with human beings notably little ones is particularly profitable. i'm particular they are going to hold somewhat some excitement on your existence. : )

I used to own my own in home service. It was more expense than what I made. And the over head plus insurance> I paid more than I made.
