This guy at work is always making eye contact with me, across the room and while walking by me, and he usually holds the eye contact till I look away. He doesn't really smile or anything, but the eye contact happens very often. It's very intense, especially since I don't know him that well. We don't talk much, but he is very nice when we do talk.
The strange thing is, I've noticed when he IS talking to me, he'll hardly look at me. He stares at the wall or the floor. What do you make of this?

He is a normal guy. Guys do this all the time. I do this all the time(couple hundred times a day).
He likes to look at you, in the eyes...from a safe distance. Then it's just looking and you can't do much about it.
Up close is personal...he does not want to look into your eyes and do that whole 'soul seeing thing'....that's depressing to a single guy. Up close he is worried about everything he might say or do...not looking at you is easy er.
Also other coworkers don't notice the across the room looks...but sure catch the close up stuff.....he may not want to be teased.

Awh!!! I KNOW he likes you. The look, look away is one of the biggest ways for a guy to show he has interest in you without saying anything. How cute! The reason he can't look at you when he's talking to you is the same reason why he looks at you from a distance. He's nervous. He may warm up soon though. <3
