i think my dog has ringworms on his stomach and i was just wondering if it is safe to put a little of the cream on it everyday until it goes away, or is it not safe for animal use?

While it can be used, you MUST make sure the dog can't lick it.

You also need to have the dog seen by a vet, as sarcoptic mange can look like ringworm as well. Both are contagious to people, and both have different treatments as ringworm is a fungus, and mange is a mite.

Before starting any sort of treatment have the dog seen by your vet for a proper diagnoses. The longer you wait to do that the harder it can be to treat.

It could also be other types of infections or rashes as well.

As a precaution put a doggie shirt on your dog to help prevent possible spore spread if it is in fact ringworm.

No, lamisil is made to absorb into the skin on humans. Dogs have more active oil glands producing a protective layer of oil on their skin. Lamasil can not soak in and can be ingested by the dog when he licks his coat. Your best bet would be to go to the vet who will most likely prescribe Panalog ointment or animax ointment to apply.

yes it's fine but you may want to get it checked out in case it's not ringworm
