In order to be Muslim, one needs to accept Islam, say the Shahada in Arabic 3 times, and be cognizant of this choice to adhere to the tenets of said belief.
This is simple logic. Now, I wish to understand how some say that babies are born Muslim, and even animals and inaminate objects are Muslim. I ask this, because I have never seen another belief make such a claim. For instance, I've never heard a Buddhist or Wiccan, Christian or Jew, etc...say everyone was born________. Only Muslims.

Submission-Thank you for your explanation, however, it does not suffice nor make sense of the claim that everything and everyone is Muslim. I do respect that this is your truth, however illogical I personally find it to be.

We believe that God breathed into all souls, before he created humans, "there is no deity worthy of worship but God". We believe that all humans have this knowledge and are only corrupted in this world.
To be Muslim means to be in submission to God. So before the revelation that Muhammad (pbuh) received their were others that were in submission to God, they were Muslim, whether they used that term or not.
I am not sure who told you we have to recite shahada 3 times...once is sufficient.

an inanimate object can establish a more strong connection it does not mean the object makes the person adhere to either becauseof it. it is but a represenatation drawing attention to the commonality of a people.and makes ie less easy to hate. for example some people blame jews for the crucifiction of Jesus even though they formed one of the branches of three major religious groups. if something to represent who Jesus came from and that he was a jew and the indication a readily reconizable symbol from that branch onto a Christian symbol if acceptable this might symbololize both the commonality between the two make it clear that even if there is a separate structere and way of doing things that they form two of the branches of a similiar belief. then so those who think all muslims are on a quest to blow up people and get 72 virgins in heaven that this is not really a viable thing as all three claim God or at least that is the idea.so to make it more clear how this idea is not viable a third symbol is added so that people can point to it and say see that this makes it obvious our connection and that anyone who attacks now will compound the error as it is more obvious to attack a place full of Churches or any other Holy place is an attack on God. which it always was. if these are placed on churches then it becomes more obvious the connection. it is link nothing more something to establish a physical connection without which people would have a hard time seeing. people get excited and equate all muslims with terrorists and allow that connection to slip from their minds. as to the other branch it might help with anti-semitism if there was a symbol from the maligned branch on churches . saying to the world Jesus was a jew then the other connection God and that jews have God as well. once this is aknowledged it makes attacks on any harder.it does not mean any are either just that they all have a central connection God. the one from the third brach represents that they are linked together by this not meaning that either are inanimate objects but three groups of people united under God. the sybols to represent this fact. if a cross can represent Jesus then inanimate objects can represent living people to who God is central an their link to eachother through this.

You have to understand the meaning of the wrod.
Islam means submission... implying submission to God. It is the Muslim belief that everything is born in perfect submission to God's will. The animals and trees will be dictated by God's will for their entire existence.... however human beings are rational animals and can learn new patterns and behaviors and stray away from God.

I'm not a Muslim, but I can explain this. The truth is from God. We are all sons and daughters of God. We belong to the truth. Before we were born into this life, we all accepted the truth. Therefore, we were all born Muslims...
Except that my point of view is that we were all born Mormons. But truth is had in many religions. I think it would be fair to say that we were all born "in the truth"... The trick to life is finding it again.

Sarah T said it very well and so did a few other ppl. We are born in Submission to God we knew Him before we were born -- we are taught different things as we grow up. We have a natural leaning towards God -we are born with it -it's called fitrah. If we acknowledge it and try to nurture it it grows...or we can ignore it and it can go away too.

Muslims are "out there". The religion of "peace" that they tout has killed more people in the world that starvation.
And as religion is a belief, so is atheism. You are not born atheist, christian, jewish, muslim, cathloic or any religion. You are born into the house of the religion that is worshiped by your family then baptized into a religion.
