Thanks.

Its entirely up to you. I always do one hour cardio then switch right onto weights. The cardio warms me up and weights arent an issue. Going straight into weights with just a general warm-up and stretching can cause un-needed pain and discomfort unless you do a very thorough warm-up. Regardless, dont work out the same muscle group two days in a row, give it atleast 48 hours to rest.

T o oversome that soreness and lack of energy, eat something HIGH in protien about 1 hour before; some good pre-workout foods include but arent limited to:

Yogurt, oatmeal, chocolate, trail mix, almonds, lentils, and pasta.

These foods are high in carbs and protein which will feed your muscles and stop the fatigue of workout out. Limit their sizes to equal about 150 calories.

In addition, do a +15 min warm-up and streching routine, theres tonnes of sites on the net that give great routines.

If you experience a lot of discomfort during the workout while heeding this advice, then ease up on your routine. This could be a sign of overworking your body. Drink lots of water so you dont run dry as well!

Hope this helps.

You can most definitely do cardio and weights on the same day. Many people start with like 5 mins on bike, elliptical, or treadmill before lifting. Then they do weights. After that, they do their cardio. If you do cardio before you lift, it will be harder to lift heavier weights and complete the reps. Also, it may be more difficult to stay in the correct form for lifting. Hope that helps...

you can do both. it would be best to do one in the am and the other in the pm, but who has the time? if you cant then do your weight training then finish off with cardio. take in 100 grams of carbs before your workout. this will keep you going. why are you sore? you shouldn't be sore after 2 weeks of working out. you must be doing something wrong. i would be happy to evaluate your program if you email it to me.

I do both - 45minutes cardio followed by weights. If your sore you might be over doing it or aren't taking the one day off between weight lifting sessions. I try to do cardio everyday, weights every other day.

You can, but you need to let your body rest. If you've worked out for a long time and your body is accustomed to that then it's fine, but if you feel overly tired then maybe breaking it up is a good idea. The thing is that there is no one correct answer. Listen to your body.

drink plenty of water. Maybe alternate your work out. If you do weights to day don't do cardio. If you decide to do both then decrease one of them how much that is
