A relationship is between two physical people that get to actually get in each others presence and touch one another. Even long distance relationships are real relationships because you still actually get to be in each others presence.

A religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

None, really,on the religious side, since all religion involves the idea of establishing some sort of relationship with what in the the abtract we now call a Higher Power. On the other hand, other than such a relationship, relationships of a worldly character do not generally have much if indeed any religious content. It would depend on the individual, obviously. If you walked funny, for example, you might even feel that having been so afflicted argues for an unkind COD. I would disagree. COD can be all-embracing. But yes,it does begin with a relationship.
Why don't you drop a few hints and maybe he'll ask you out for a date? You may walk funny, but word has it you're quite a dancer.
COD would like that, from what little I know of penguin theology. There is not much available in English on the subject. Plus,Zionists do what they can to keep the teachings of COD from general circulation. How they must fear the wrath of COD....
And,I mean,just think,all he wants is,like,a relationship.

"It's not a religion it's a relationship" is a weasle phrase coined by the far radical right wing, in order to get the gov't to promote their "relationship". See, what they want is for the gov't to establish Fundamentalist Christianity as the national religion, but the first amendment forbids the establishment of religion, so they started calling Christianity a "relationship". They also make bizarre claims that "evolution" "global warming" "liberalism" "recycling" and "self esteem" are religions, in an attempt to suppress them.

It is nothing more than a slick attempt to make THEIR religion the law of the land. A personal RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ is the centerpiece of the Christian RELIGION.

Religion is man tring to get to God, ( which he can not do ) a personal relationship is God coming to man ( which he did in the person of Jesus Christ, as well as now in the Holy Spirit ). Once you have a personal relationship with Jesus, you are filled with the Holy Spirit, and you become changed from the inside. Your good works will come because you love God, and want to put all His desires before yours. Every time something crosses your path that would offend the Holy Spirit of God, you will feel offended, and when something is pleasing to God, it will also be pleasing to you.

You can have a personal relationship with Jesus now if you will call on Him in prayer, simply ask Him to come into your heart and life, and to forgive you of you sin. Be willing to turn from your sin and live for Jesus.

If you have any questions, you can go to billygraham.org, and there will be a page called 4 steps to salvation, there is also a toll free prayer line ( 1-877-2graham ) you can call and speek to a christian worker, and have prayer. Don't put off what is the most important thing in your life ...... your eternal life.

God be with you,

Many Christians end up having a relationship with the Church instead of Jesus/God. A relationship should be a one on one experience and closeness, with another. And we can have a one on one with the Savior/God, and that's the way it should be, But be careful to not adore the Church more than God, for all we will have left is Religion.

Relationship is personal. Religion is institutional and man-made. Jesus wants a close and personal relationship with the individual. Man (beginning with Constantine) made it institutional and the Roman Catholic church made it corporate.

Relationship: being open with one another. This allows for a deep belief in that the relationship is true and trustworthy.

Religion: Being asked to give money and not questioning why you shouldn't believe. hmmm... Smarmy comes to mind.
