A toy poodle can get up to 8-10 pounds depending on build. They are sooooo cute and cuddly and smart. They do need a lot of attention in the grooming area as their hair can get matted if not brushed out a few times a week. So worth the effort though!!

The Toy Poodle is 10 inches or under at the highest point of the shoulders. Any Poodle which is more than 10 inches at the highest point of the shoulders shall be disqualified from competition as a Toy Poodle.

weight varies by size.

According to the standard, any Poodle under 10" is considered a "toy" Poodle (the three sizes of Poodle are classified as a single breed with the adult height determining the designation of "toy", "miniature" or "standard"). But that is a very technical definition. In practice, well-bred toy Poodles are generally in the 8-10" range and weigh 6-9lbs. There are a lot of poorly bred "teacup"/"micro"/"tiny toy" Poodles out there, but any breeder using a b!thc under 5 lbs is highly suspect as it is NOT SAFE for her to carry and birth puppies, and dogs this small tend to have health problems and be very, very frail.

Not very big-Only about the size of a chihuahua or other 'toy' dogs.

Had one 4 1/2 lbs. Usually are heavier.
There are no guarentees about size, but good breeders are pretty dependable in their breeding.
