I think there will. I suspect the population of atheists will greatly increase in the next, even 30 years and it wouldn't be long before it was the norm.

Something extraordinarily radical would have to happen for that to occur. Just look at GW--He declares God told him to attack Iraq--& then gets re-elected.I think that shows how Americas voters think!!

Sweetie, so far the US won't elect a woman, a non-white man, or a Jewish person. What makes you think they will elect an atheist? I would love to see it, but I'm not optimistic.

Everyone of our presidents have believed in God but have turned their backs on him with what they have done in office. Other wise they didn't believe in God also, just lip service.
