No, CO2 historically shows up in the atmosphere most likely as a result of warming.
You may note that this was true, well before man supposedly destroyed the earth.
Isn't this getting sickening...makes my blood boil...lol

Anything that releases CO2 as a gas from a combined solid state contributes. It took hundreds of millions of years for algae in the oceans to remove enough CO2 for the atmosphere to make more advanced life possible. This consisted of releasing the oxygen while trapping the carbon, mostly as carbonates, and dropping the temperature by the decreased greenhouse effect brought about by those changes.
Global Warming is the radical idea that as we reverse that process, conditions will also reverse. I think the basis for that thinking is failure to appreciate that it takes much more time to form coal than to burn it.

A similar silly question was asked 2 months ago:

When you consider that humans emit on the order of 6 billion tons of CO2 into the atmosphere every year, a few billion pounds is not impressive (1 pound = 0.05% of a ton), even if your numbers are right. Considering that one soda has about 2-3 grams of CO2 inside
http://www.science-house.org/CO2/activities/co2/soda.html
1 billion pounds of CO2 would be 227 billion sodas. So every person on Earth is drinking 37 sodas per day just for 1 billion pounds of CO2. And you're claiming "carbonated soda drinks like Coke and Pepsi also release billions of pounds of Co2 into the atmosphere EACH DAY". I think your numbers are just a tad off.
Plus you're neglecting the fact that most of the CO2 is ingested. Plus the carbonation for the soda came from the natural carbon cycle, so it's not contributing to global warming anyway.

The carbon dioxide found in soft drinks like Coke and Pepsi products is compressed and in as high a concentration as the copious amounts of sugars also found in these products. The dissolved gas is known as carbonic acid which is corrosive but not to a kinetic degree. The gas is released with the fizz that you see and certainly it is a greenhouse gas but for the most part if ingested really quickly has as good a possibility of becoming bicarbonate salt rather than gaseous effluent. The question was ambiguous and I Hope that helps you.

One fact worth considering before ranting about CO2 is that the gas that's in the soda is extracted from the air and not made extra as it would be in combustion of fossil fuels. Also consider that in beer brewing,CO2 is made during the process, so wouldn't that be a far more contributing factor for you to debate?

The CO2 in the soft drinks was extracted from the air very recently. Piutting it back is no big dea.
The carbon in fossil fuels was buried over many thousands of years. We dig it up and burn it in a few tens of years. That's wrecking the climate, and going to cause a lot of hugely expensive damage if we don't do something about it:

The carbon dioxide in soft drinks was extracted from the air.
This is not an additional amount of carbon dioxide that is being added to the atmosphere.

dana1981 is right as usual.
If it's 70 F in Michigan through the winter, it will be 130 F in Michigan throughout the summer, and you may very well be starving. Will you be sorry you didn't help prevent global warming? This will not happen to you, but it may happen to your great-great-grandchild.
