Islam is not against any religion, it forbids force of any kind on ones faith or religion. It forbids the demolition of the non-muslims worship places, "to you is your religion to me is mine" the Quran, this verse makes it clear that there is no compulsion in religion and everyones faith will be respected in the Islamic point of view. Islam even doesn't justify killing innocent people be it muslims or non-muslims.
The Quran says: "If someone kills an innocent person (muslim or non-muslim)it is as if he has killed the whole of humanity"
Whatever is happening to the Koreans in Afghanistan seems to be a political plot set by some people, which easily get away by using the name of Islam.
How can Islam be against Christians when God says in the Quran
"THE CLOSET TO YOU IN FRIENDSHIP ARE THOSE WHO SAY WE ARE CHRISTIANS"

Yes, they were going to provide free medical care to people who need it.....and there is no evidence they were "cramming" their religion down anyone's throats since they were still on the bus in route to the site when they were kidnapped. Also, based on the kidnappers demands, what the aid workers was doing had nothing to do with them being kidnapped----rather the kidnappers appear to see them as bargaining chips for either money or the release of prisioners. Finally, according to the church of the kidnap victims, they were not involved in any type of missions work---just medical work.
I suppose I may be naive, but no, I don't see this as an "Islamic" reaction (particulary given the number of Muslims working to free these people). Rather I see an "Islamic" reaction to be the same reaction given to aid workers (including Christian aid workers) throughout Afghanistan and other predominantly Islamic regions.
Also, in my view, showing compassion to people suffering from lack of medical care is never "wrong".

The Korean captives have a right to their belief in God no matter where they are. The Muslims that took them and killed one are once again showing the world what islam is all about...force, violence, no freedom, no choices, nothing but allah (aka Satan). I pray that God helps these innocent people. I pray the world wakes up to the evil that is in islam. I pray Muslims finally find God.
It disgusts me how many people do not believe in freedom. How can you say that the Koreans deserved it? How can it not be right to have a belief regardless of what others think? The real question is was it right for these barbarians to capture and kill innocent people who were just trying to help others? Now you know why allah is not God. Look what he produces.
God Bless.

No. I thought they were there to help out the poor people not there to force them to convert to Christianity and leave Islam. The Taliban are idiots and probably saw the Koreans as a threat to Islam and them so that's why they were kidnapped.

I have little sympathy for them. If you're going there to help feed the hungry or house the homeless without an ulterior motive, that's one thing. But going into a de facto zealous theocracy that's hostile to your religion and trying to convert people? That's stupid and arrogant and you pretty much deserve what you get.

No--they should not have tried to push Christianity down a Muslims throat--that was asking for trouble.

It was pretty dumb, I think. They must have thought that their god would save them. Perhaps their god is away on vacation this week, and forgot to let them know. Oops.

Well it wasn't the smartest thing to do but they do not deserve death as punishment for speaking their minds.

They were plain stupid and are paying for it. It's sad, but they looked for it.
