I am currently in the Air Force, reason for joining the AF because I find airplanes really interesting, but if you are thinking of joining dont go off other people's opions join the branch that you want to join.
But I would suggest the Air Force, I havent had a bad experience yet. But I did talk to all the recruiters including the Coast Guard b4 I made my decision.

If I was young and had no college experience I would join the Marines. Since I am getting a Master's I would join the Air Force because the more technical and educated people join the Air Force. It depends on the individual, I would do the pro's and con's of all branches before joining.

I recently joined the Canadian Forces, but due to physical problems at the moment aka not being in the best of shape, I decided on Voluntarily Releasing from the Canadian Forces and get back in to shape and join again later on down the road...
The branch I had planned on joining was...NAVY..why Navy you ask? Well..I am not one that would enjoy Army life, and Air force..well...Its the air force..But the NAVY is a great way of life..There is something about a Naval vessel that excites me..I plan on rejoining the NAVY as a BOSN. My father is currently Navy, and was Air Force before he remustered to the Navy.

I'm retired Navy...did air traffic control (still do)...saw a lot of the world and had a pretty good time...the Navy is the most laid back of all the services, and that's probably why i stuck it out for 20

I was one of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children (USMC for you folks who couldn't figure it out) for 6 great years, and would have kept going if not for a freaking car accident. I did it for the chance to be the best, go through the hardest training, and to see what I was made of.
